- Toe nails need to be trimmed at least every six weeks.
- The quick inside the nail, grows longer and longer when the nails are not trimmed often. Therefore, the groomer cannot cut them short enough without possibly making them bleed. So the more often you have the nails trimmed, the shorter the quick will be.
- When cutting toe nails at home, always trim a little off at a time till you see either a white or black spot. This is the quick and you should stop.
